Switched Wireless Networks for the Data Center and Beyond
The flexibility of wireless with the predictability of cables.
A Switched Wireless Network gives each endpoint its own port, as on a wired switch, not a slice of a shared channel. Capacity is committed per endpoint and isolated in frequency, beam and time, with bounded delay. Links are created, moved and re-pointed in software, with no re-cabling, at up to 100G per link in generation one and 200G, 400G and beyond on the roadmap.
An AI-crafted beam to every endpoint
Markets
The architecture for beam switches, endpoint radios and software serve every environment that needs the predictability of cables and the flexibility of wireless.
-

Data Center
AI Data Centers have multiple networks with millions of cables. The switched wireless network augments your cables with a parallel secure wireless Ethernet network for management, off-load and architectural freedom.
-

Space
Switched links between satellites, orbital data centers and ground stations. Compact antennas and relaxed pointing compared with optical terminals; passes cloud, with rain budgeted as margin.
-

Defense
An aircraft or satellite acts as the beam switch: directive, low-probability-of-intercept bursts to each ground unit, then dark.
-

High-performance LANs/WANs
A scheduled beam per machine, building, robot, or any device.
Research
Supported by the National Science Foundation
Teradio is the industry partner on an NSF-funded, university-led research program that is building the science behind switched wireless networks for AI data centers. A second NSF award, in which Teradio is the prime awardee, hardens the product.
